Neena Gupta has posted a picture from her daughter fashion designer Masaba's wedding to actor Satyadeep Misra. The couple had a simple court wedding on Friday morning. The designer's mother and veteran actress, Neena Gupta, has now opened up about her daughter's intimate wedding.
The wedding was graced only by immediate family and friends. Gupta told Vogue that the idea was to keep it simple; however, there will be a party with close friends and family for about 80 to 85 people who’ve had a meaningful relationship with Satyadeep and her.
Neena Gupta On Masaba's Wedding
"Aaj beti ki shaadi huee dil mein ajeeb see shanti khushi abhaar aur pyaar umda hai (my daughter got married today. My heart is filled with peace, gratitude and love). Sharing with you friends," she wrote in an Instagram post.
The fashion designer turned actor opted for a barfi pink raw silk lehenga with gold embroidery and a lime green dupatta with a wallflower print. Misra was seen wearing a barfi pink wallflower bandi and a comfortable kurta-pyjama. The couple wore House of Masaba’s new bridal collection, which is yet to be launched. The entire family was also dressed in the House of Masaba couture.
Masaba said the idea of opting for an intimate wedding was because both of them were conscious of not wasting ridiculous amounts of money. Moreover, she said that they were very private people and preferred to have only their family and loved ones on a memorable day like this. Gupta said, “This is truly a private moment for both of us, and more than anything, we wanted to enjoy it. We wanted to make this about ourselves.”
The mother-daughter starred together in semi-biographical Netflix series based on the life of Masaba Gupta. It follows designer Masaba Gupta as she straddles the worlds of fashion and family while making a foray back into the dating world.
Masaba was earlier married to Madhu Mantena and got divorced in 2019.
