Neena Gupta's Husband Vivek Mehra Reveals Masaba Was Quick To Like Him: I'm Very Likeable

Vivek Mehra on Masaba: Popular actor Neena Gupta's husband Vivek Mehra has recently spoken about the no "conspiracy" equation he shares with his stepdaughter, fashion designer and actor Masaba Gupta. Mehra said that Masaba took only a few days to warm up to him as there was no "politics" involved. Masaba is the daughter of former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards.

Stating that they are a "just perfect" family, he told ETimes that Masaba's affection for him grew in no time as he says he is a very likeable guy. “We (him and Neena) went out for four-five years before tying the knot," he said, further revealing how Masaba was a little concerned at first but "she took to me". Vivek also explained how he and Masaba bond over work these days and how they are very comfortable with each other. “We do have our share of fights but there is no conspiracy or politics between us. It’s just love.”

"These days she is taking a lot of my time as we discuss work. I help and advise her and that shows she trusts me. And I too have equal trust on her,” Mehra added. Veteran actor Neena Gupta married Delhi-based Mehra in 2008. She was 54 then. Read how Neena Gupta found love in her forties here.

Gupta gave birth to her daughter Masaba in the late 1980s. The now 61-year-old has openly spoken about raising a daughter as a single parent and marrying at the age of 50 plus. She once stressed that she would not have gotten married if she wasn’t sure that her husband liked Masaba. She also said that no matter how much she loved a man, she wouldn’t have decided to be in a relationship with anyone if “they had a problem with my daughter”, the Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan actor added that it is very important to her that Masaba likes who she’s with and vice versa.

The designer and her boyfriend Satyadeep Misra are currently in Mukteshwar, Uttarakhand with Gupta and Mehra. Earlier this week, the actor even shared a picture of the father and stepdaughter working together in their farmhouse.

Meanwhile, Masaba made her acting debut alongside her mother last year in the web series called Masaba Masaba. The series is up for a secodn season soon.
