Neena Gupta first marriage: Did you know Neena Gupta was briefly married at a young age and separated from her first husband within a year? Gupta, who recently published her autobiography Sach Kahun Toh and has made several revelations in the same, said that she got married too young to a man name Amlan Kusum Ghose. The actor revealed that he was a student at IIT while Gupta was pursuing her master's in Sanskrit.
As reported by Zoom, the relationship that started in secret on campus ended up in a marriage in Srinagar. Gupta further revealed that they would meet in his hostel or near her house as his parents lived in another city, "but his grandfather lived in my lane so he would spend festivals and holidays there." The couple's relationship became public after Gupta's friend told her parents and they supported the young lovers which led to a wedding.
However, it was soon that they realised it was not meant to be. "Amlan viewed things differently," she said, further explaining that their upbringing was very different Gupta felt that Amlan had always assumed that Gupta would eventually settle down and focus on the family.
"But I had become a bit too ambitious and didn’t see myself ever being a regular housewife," she revealed, further saying that she always wanted more from life. "And the more theatre I did, the clearer my path became," she added. During the short time, Gupta and Kusum Ghose were married, she said, they never quarrelled much as they were both very young when they dove into marriage.
