Navarasa is an upcoming Tamil web series in the form of an anthology. It is created by Mani Ratnam, who collaborated with Jayendra Panchapakesan for the production of the series.

It features nine independent episodes based on the Indian concept of Navarasas (nine emotions). The series brings together talented writers, directors, cinematographers, actors and composers from the Tamil film industry.
10 things to know about Navarasa
- The series features several well-known actors from the South namely Suriya, Pragya Martin, Revathi, Siddharth, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pavel Navageethan, Rajesh Balachandran, Sree Raam, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Balan, Riythvika, Bobby Simha and many others.
- The nine episodes are directed by Priyadarshan, Vasanth, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthik Subbaraj, Sarjun KM, Karthick Naren, Arvind Swami and Rathindran R. Prasad respectively.
- The anthology also happens to be a collaboration of phenomenal music composers including AR Rahman, D Imman, Ghibran, Aruldev, Karthik, Ron Ethan Yohann, Govind Vasantha and Justin Prabhakaran.
- The cinematographers PC Sreeram, Santosh Sivan, Balasubramaniam, Manoj Paramahamsa, Abhinandhan Ramanujam, Sreyas Krishna among many others have come together for this upcoming Tamil project.
- Each of the episodes presents a different rasa or emotion. These are anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace and wonder.
- In a joint statement, Ratnam and Panchapakesan revealed that Navarasa was conceptualised during a brainstorming session. They said, "This time the brainstorming was for the cause of our own industry, to soothe and try and alleviate to some extent the agony of our people who had no work for months." They further added that the idea of making short films and raising money through them for this cause was born on one such brainstorming evening.
- The filmmakers also said that the idea was a "spark" when they discussed it and the industry came together to make it glow, give it soul and make it count for its people. "We are happy that Netflix has come forward to take this confluence of emotion, talent, people and the cause to the world," they added.
- This series is the OTT platform's second Tamil anthology after Paava Kadhaigal which released on Dec 18, 2020.
- Netflix describes the series as "an anthology that will hit every emotional chord."
- Earlier scheduled to release in 2020, Navarasa now releases on Aug 6, 2021.
