A video from the past featuring Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy expressing his surprise and criticism towards actor Kareena Kapoor for neglecting her fans on a flight is gaining popularity online.
During a conversation at IIT-Kanpur, Murthy shared his astonishment at Kapoor's lack of acknowledgment towards her fans. While his spouse, Sudha Murthy, attempted to defend Kareena Kapoor, Murthy persisted with his remarks, providing details about the incident involving the actor.
What Was The Incident?
Narayana Murthy recounted the incident when he was flying back from London, and Kareena Kapoor was seated next to him. He expressed his surprise, mentioning that many people approached her to say hello, but she didn't react or acknowledge them. In contrast, Murthy shared that whenever someone approached him, he stood up and engaged in a brief conversation, which he believed was all they were expecting.
During the discussion, Sudha Murthy interjected, suggesting that Kareena Kapoor might have been tired due to her large number of admirers. The crowd appreciated her statement and responded with applause and laughter.
Sudha Murthy highlighted the contrast between Murthy's number of fans compared to a film actor like Kareena Kapoor, who has millions of admirers. However, despite Sudha Murthy's perspective, Murthy persisted with his remarks, emphasising that the issue wasn't the number of fans but rather the importance of reciprocating affection, even in a subtle way. He believed that responding to affection is essential to reduce one's ego.
Not The First Kareena Kapoor Incident
Earlier in May, this year, in one of the viral videos, Kareena is seen exiting the airport, and a female fan follows her, requesting a selfie. However, Kareena seemingly ignored the fan's request and continued walking. This received criticism from many social media users, who expressed their disapproval of the actor's attitude.
Following the video's appearance on Instagram, numerous users called out Kareena for her behaviour. However, some fans stood by her and defended her choice, stating that it is entirely her personal decision whether or not to pose for selfies with fans in public places.
