Nagarjuna's heartfelt message read: "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless!" He also included the date, "8.8.8," symbolising the beginning of what he described as "infinite love."

The engagement reportedly also see the presence of Amala Akkineni and Akhil, Naga Chaitanya’s brother, along with Sobhita’s parents. The ceremony took place at Nagarjuna's home in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, with their marriage ending in October 2021. Sobhita, aged 32, and Chay, aged 37, have been dating for the past few years.
