Naagin 2 Actor Arzoo Govitrikar Files For Divorce, Accuses Husband Of Domestic Violence

Naagin 2 actor Arzoo Govitrikar has filed for divorce from her husband Siddharth Sabharwal. Govitrikar accused her husband of domestic violence saying "Enough is enough". She went on to allege that she could not take any more of the "gaalis, violence and infidelity" and it had become unbearable. Govitrikar, the sister of actor and model Aditi Gotvitrikar, has appeared in the film Baghban and the television show Naagin 2.

The actor had filed a case of domestic violence against her estranged husband in 2019. Now, she told ETimes that she has made up her mind and is not going to reconcile with him. Govitrikar has moved the court to seek a legal separation and has filed for a divorce. In an interaction, she confirmed, "I swallowed my pride; I tried, and I tried my best. But matters came to a head and I couldn't continue with Siddharth."

Speaking about not sharing these details with the media till now, Govitrikar said that she was hounded by calls from journalists two years ago. "I want to tell you that he has pulled me by my neck and tried to throw me out of the flat. He has slapped me. He has kicked me in my stomach," she said, sharing the details of her ex-husband's alleged abusive behaviour. She further claimed that there were days when she was beaten up and couldn't come out because she didn't want her bruises to be seen.

Govitrikar also alleged that her husband hurled casteist abuses at her. Talking about where it all began, the actor shared that her husband first allegedly assaulted her two years after their marriage and the abuse happened again after their son was born. "He started sleeping in another room. After that, I found out that he has a Russian girlfriend; he was constantly on chats with her," the Naagin 2 actor said, adding that when she confronted him about his girlfriend, he separated from the family. She also claimed that she has chats and CCTV footage that implicate him.
