- Irrfan Khan died on April 29, 2020, at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai at the age of 53.
- Irrfan was battling cancer for which he had undergone treatment in London in 2018. He returned to India in 2019 to shoot his last film Angrezi Medium. Things worsened in 2020 when he got a colon infection and the actor passed away.
