FIR Disha Patani: The Malang actor has been booked along with rumoured boyfriend Tiger Shroff for violating COVID-19 lockdown norms in Mumbai, as per reports. Mumbai Police confirmed the news June 3, with a cryptic but rather evident tweet, which said the two have been booked under IPC section 188 (disobeying the order of public servant).
Soon after the confirmation on Thursday, Patani took to social media for what fans thought would be an update on the case. But what the 28-year-old shared on Instagram has left netizens scratching their heads.
On her stories, she posted a rather close close-up of... a cow! A black beast looking back at the story viewer with what is only discernible as a deadpan expression.
A cryptic response to the police's dig at her? A slip of the finger? Perhaps a new pet? Or a photo with meanings too profound to be deciphered?
See for yourself:
Alongside this indecipherable photo, Patani also shared a throwback one of herself, flipping her hair in the water. "So nice ❤️," her elder sister Khusbhoo wrote in the comments.
After Reported FIR Disha Patani Shares Cryptic Photo, Tiger Shroff's Mother Defends Them
There has been no word about the COVID-19 violation case from either Patani or Shroff. The latter's mother Ayesha Shroff, however, reacted to an Instagram post that said the actors were "in trouble for heading out during lockdown."
"You got your facts wrong my dear. They were heading home and cops were checking Aadhaar cards on the way. No one is interested in “roaming” at a time like this. Please get your facts right before saying such things. Thank you!" she said.
"Instead of bringing people down how come no one writes about the free meals he’s providing to front line workers!!" she further added.
As per Indian Express, Patani and Shroff were stopped by police at Bandra Bandstand, Tuesday evening. Police reportedly said the couple was out on a drive, and since they were allegedly moving about without an essential reason, an FIR had been registered against them. Mumbai Police confirmed the news on Thursday.
