Cannes 2023 is serving some fashion goals this season. Actor Mrunal Thakur is among many Bollywood celebrities who are making their debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year
The Sita Ramam star who is representing a beverage brand chose an all-black ensemble for her red carpet look. Sharing several pictures of herself on Instagram, Thakur wore a bodysuit, sheer pants, and a sequinned jacket.

'I didn't come this far to only come this far,' wrote Thakur as she posted a reel from the French Riveria.
A carousel post featured the actor's photos as she posed on a terrace. Wearing a loose sequined jacket over a black corset and black lace pants, she finished off the outfit with black heels. Accentuating her look, she upped her fashion game with bright eye makeup and danglers.
"I was always punished in school for daydreaming... Well, I am living that dream all day now', Thakur recalled in another post.
Fans were thrilled to witness her glam transformation, one fan called her, "Next national crush," while another commented, "Sita ye tune kya kiya," recalling her subtle performance in the film Sita Ramam.
Before she left for Cannes, Mrunal told the news agency Asian News International, "I am thrilled to be attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. I am looking forward to interacting with global filmmakers, exploring new opportunities, and showcasing the talent that Indian cinema has to offer."
Apart from Mrunal, Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chhillar, and Esha Gupta also made their debut at Cannes 2023 on Tuesday, May 17. Actress Anushka Sharma's Cannes debut is also much-awaited.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Thakur is best known for her performances in films like Super 30, Toofaan, Batla House, Love Sonia, Ghost Stories, among many others. Her other releases include Dhamaka with Kartik Aaryan and Jersey, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. She was last seen in Gumraah, alongside Aditya Roy Kapur.
