'Money Heist Korea' First Revealed! Yoo Ji-Tae Looks Promising As The Professor

The first look of the upcoming Korean adaptation was revealed on the official Instagram account of Netflix Korea.

Money Heist Korea's first look came out on May 13, 2022, and it was enough to increase fans' anticipation for the series. The series will be the South Korean adaptation of the popular Spanish crime thriller that was a massive hit on Netflix.

After becoming a huge success for three seasons, five parts and 41 episodes worldwide, the Spanish crime thriller Money Heist is all ready to explore the South Korean audience with its Korean adaptation. Money Heist Korea will be coming to Netflix soon and the OTT platform recently dropped the first poster for the series featuring Yoo Ji-Tae, a South Korean actor who will be playing the role of The Professor.

Money Heist Korea First Look Featuring Yoo Ji-Tae

The first look of the upcoming Korean adaptation was revealed on the official Instagram account of Netflix Korea. The post consisted of two posters of actor Yoo-Ji-Tae as The Professor from the series. The first poster was in Korean while the second one was in Spanish and the post was captioned, "교수 (spectacles emoji) The Professor". Yoo Ji-Tae was seen lost in thoughts, surrounded by maps, files and other stuff in a dark room beside a table lamp in the poster.

Money Heist Korea- Joint Economic Area is the full name of the series and as apparent, it will reportedly be set in the fictional Joint Economic Area in Korean Peninsula. The series will feature Yoo Ji-Tae as the mastermind criminal, strategist and professor who devises a plan and pulls off a heist in the Korean Peninsula. The character was played by Alvaro Morte in the Spanish series.

The Korean adaptation is a Kim Hong-sun directorial. The official synopsis of the show on Netflix reads, "Thieves overtake the mint of a unified Korea. With hostages trapped inside, the police must stop them — as well as the shadowy mastermind behind it all."

The series features Park Hae-soo, Park Myung-hoon, Lee Won-jong and Jeon Jong-Seo in pivotal roles alongside Yoo Ji-Tae. The teaser of the first part of the show along with its release date was revealed by Netflix in a Tweet that read, "Get ready for a bold new vision of the ultimate heist. 'Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area' premieres June 24,". The first part of the show will reportedly be six episodes long.
