Metro.. In Dino Starring Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta Starrer Gets A Release Date

Filmmaker Anurag Basu‘s upcoming movie Metro… In Dino is set to be released in theatres on December 8, the makers announced on Monday. Billed as an anthology of “heartwarming stories of contemporary couples”, the film stars an ensemble of Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Produced by T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions, Metro... In Dino depicts stories of bittersweet relationships in a modern-day scenario. Exploring diverse yet universal stories of different facets, shades and moods of love, this contemporary tale will have music by Pritam.

Metro In Dino Release Date Announced

While the movie is a stand-alone sequel to the hit film Life In A Metro (2007), the anticipation remains the same. In this contemporary story, audiences will not only experience a brand-new plot but also see a brand-new pairing between Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan.

Talking about the upcoming film, Basu had earlier shared, “Metro…In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while since I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me!”

He added, “The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them. As the music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn’t be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work.”

Basu was the only one who, according to producer Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of T-Series, could weave a tale “out of parallel lives together in a film with a contemporary twist.”

“No one could helm this ship better than Basu. We are thrilled to work with him again on Metro in Dino. Pritam will add his charm with the music, completely enhancing the experience, while Dada creates the magic with a compelling story,” added Kumar.
