Don't Look Up is about another cosmic disaster: a comet on a collision path with the Earth. The issue here is that no one appears to trust two low-level astronomers played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence when they uncover the problem.
In the trailer, the astronomers are treated with a startling degree of disinterest, causing DiCaprio's character to have a panic attack and Lawrence's to drink not one but two more glasses of wine during dinner.
Meryl Streep, who plays the role of president, acts disinterested when the astronomers attempt to tell about the impending life-threatening disaster. Jonah Hill plays the role of the president's son.
Leonardo told People Magazine that when he first read the script of Don't Look Up, Leo realized it was one-of-a-kind because it struck a keynote about our society.
He believes that director Adam has weaved an outrageously humorous yet essential message about humanity, communication, current priorities, and the environmental problem into an impossibly funny yet crucial film.
