'Meri Awas Suno' To Release In May, Makers Release Teaser

Featuring Manju Warrier and Jayasurya, the makers of Meri Awas Suno have dropped a teaser of the film which gives a glimpse into what the film has to offer. From the looks of it, the film seems to be a heart-warming emotional drama. The film is set to release in May.

Written and directed by G Prajesh Sen, the film is the first project featuring Warrier and Jayasurya. The film revolves around Jayasurya’s Shankar, a radio jockey who is shattered when he is diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. When he finds out that he will lose his voice, he is dejected. But is aided by Sulakshana (Manju Warrier), a speech therapist, to accept the new life and move forward.

Meri Awas Suno Teaser

The ">teaser shows Manju’s Sulakshana speaking with Shankar live about how humanity is more important than gender, how it beautifies everyone’s life. The teaser also takes the audience on a short journey of the film’s music as well.

The film also stars Sshivada in a pivotal role as Jayasurya’s wife in the film; Johny Antony and Sudheer Karamana also feature in major roles in the film.

The poster of the film, reportedly, was released on World Radio Day, which fell on February 13.

Prajesh Sen earlier opened up about the lead characters of the film to a leading publication. He said, “RJ Shankar is a calm person, and he presents his show as a normal conversation, unlike the usual peppy-zippy styles of radio presenters.”

The filmmaker further added, “RJ Sankar is also someone who often gets involved in social issues and he is a person with elevated thoughts. The character is not modelled after any specific RJ, but is modelled after a person in a story, which I can’t reveal more about now.”

Elaborating on the character played by Manju Warrier, the director said, “She is a brave woman. Moreover, she is someone who acts as a guide for RJ Shankar, who openly expresses his views on various matters.”

M Jayachandran has composed the music for the film while BK Harinarayanan has written the lyrics for the film. The film will be out on May 13 this year.
