Meghan Markle Oprah Winfrey interview? Yes Please!: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ready to talk about quitting their roles as senior royals next month. The couple recently announced they are expecting their second baby. They will sit down with Oprah Winfrey for a 90-minute primetime interview to share their “future hopes and dreams.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to appear for a special called “Oprah with Meghan and Harry," CBS announced that the interview will be broadcast on Sunday, March 7. This will mark the couple's first lengthy television interview since their engagement, and certainly the first since they exited their royal duties last year.
A statement from CBS said "Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure." The statement continued, "later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family."
Markle, who had her first child in 2019, had openly talked about suffering a miscarriage in July last year. She had described it as a feeling of “unbearable grief”. She had also spoken about going through an emotionally traumatic experience before she found herself in a hospital bed with her husband by her side. 39-year-old Markle and Prince Harry's first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, is nearly two years old.
“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple told HuffPost in a statement.
Britain’s Prince Harry and American actor Meghan Markle got married in May 2018. They moved to California with their infant son Archie after stepping back as senior royals last year and have since signed a multiyear production deal with Netflix and Spotify.
