Masaba Gupta Shares Old Pic Of Satish Kaushik, Leaves Fans Nostalgic

Masaba Gupta, a fashion designer, has posted an emotional message in Satish Kaushik's honour. In New Delhi, the 66-year-old filmmaker passed away, reportedly from a heart attack. On Instagram Stories, Masaba shared a throwback photo of her mother, seasoned performer Neena Gupta, and Satish Kaushik.

Satish Kaushik and Neena Gupta got along well and collaborated on the movie Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, and Neena Gupta all attended the National School of Drama together (NSD). Fans are feeling nostalgic after Neena Gupta's daughter Masaba Gupta shared an old photo of the group from their NSD days.

Masaba Gupta added the following, "Rest in peace, Kaushik uncle. Mom received the best gift from you... We will miss your kindness over all these years." The monochrome photograph features Neena Gupta on the left, Anupam Kher in the center, and Satish Kaushik on the right. Photographs show Satish Kaushik with side-parted hair and a moustache. The image made fans feel emotional. For those who don't know, Neena Gupta revealed in her autobiography Sach Kahun Toh that Satish Kaushik made the actor an offer to marry while she was pregnant with Masaba. "Don't worry; if the child has dark skin at birth, you can simply claim that it is mine, and we will marry. There won't be any suspicions," he stated.

On Instagram, Neena Gupta also posted a touching video in which she mourns the passing of her close friend Satish Kaushik. The actor said in the video message, "I woke up to very sad news. The only person who has ever called me Nancy is the person I used to call Kaushikan. Our friendship has roots in our time in college. Now he is no longer. Both is sad and terrifying, really. I'm always here for his daughter Vanshika and his spouse Shashi if they ever need me. It's a very difficult time for them. May god grant them the fortitude to deal with this loss, particularly for Vanshika."

On Thursday, Satish Kaushik was cremated in Oshiwara, Mumbai.
