Ahead Of New Episode, Marvel Studios Unveils First Poster Of Lady Loki

Marvel Studios has announced a new addition to the latest series Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston in the titular role. In the previous episode, the showrunners teased the fans with Loki variants towards the end of the episode. On Monday evening, the female-version of the Marvel superhero and God of Mischief, was introduced in the first poster of Lady Loki shared on Twitter.

A glimpse of the new addition, played by Sophia Di Martino, presented her golden horns and a black cape similar to what was teased in the second episode.

However, the teaser of the upcoming third episode hasn’t been released yet, which indicates that fans have to keep waiting for any revelation until Wednesday.

Last week, in the last episode of the Disney solo series the variant finally revealed itself as Lady Loki towards the climax. We also witnessed the character touted as the "dangerous variant", playing with the Sacred Timeline as Loki followed her into a new dimension.

Loki possesses shape-shifting abilities, therefore, has taken on many forms over the years, including female ones. However, he notably took on a female form for an extended period of time in 2008.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Sophia Di Martino explained that she was amazed at being considered for the role as she was nine months pregnant when she was informed about the job.

Speaking of her experience working with Tom Hiddleston she told the publication, "If you want to know anything about Loki he’s the guy obviously”.

"Lots of advice and he just really looked after me, so thanks. He made sure I didn’t trip over anything and made sure I had someone to sit next to at lunchtime," she added.

Head writer of the Loki series, Michael Waldron, has previously worked on a Star Wars movie with Marvel Studios.

The forthcoming episode Loki will stream from June 23 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
