The female superhero movie, Black Widow, featuring Scarlett Johansson, is making the buzz these days. Scarlett Johansson plays the role of Natasha Romanoff. It would mark as the 24th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The premise of the movie is that of after the Marvel Studios film Captain America: Civil War. Romanoff is forced to confront a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past where she finds herself being pursued by a force that wants to bring her down. She also has to deal with her past relationships like that with David Habour's character. The movie is set before she becomes an avenger.
David Harbour revealed about Natasha and his character that, "They’ve known each other for a while and there’s a complex history there."

The movie was supposed to be released earlier but was delayed to the prevailing situation. According to Marvel's official website, the movie is set to release on July 9, 2021.

The movie will simultaneously release in theatres in the US and will be available on the OTT platform Disney+ with Premier Access.

The main character in the movie is played by Scarlett Johansson. The film also stars Florence Pugh who plays the role of a sister-figure to Romanoff, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, O-T Fagbenle as Rick Mason, William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross, Ray Winstone as Dreykov, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff who is also a Black Widow. Further, Olivier Richters has an undisclosed role.
The movie is produced by Marvel Studios and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is directed by Cate Shortland. Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson contributed to the script before Pearson was hired.
