March 2023 OTT Releases
Taj: Divided By Blood
The re-telling of the epic love story of Mughal Prince Saleem and beautiful courtesan Anarkali and how the Mughal Emperor Akbar, Saleem's father did everything in his might to separate the lovers. The web show will look into the depth of complicated royal relationships and forbidden romance. The show stars Naseeruddin Shah, Aashim Gulati, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sandhya Mridul and Rahul Bose in pivotal roles and releases on ZEE5 on March 3.
Rocket Boys 2
The sequel of SonyLIV's hit scientific web series will focus on the development of India's nuclear power. After the death of Homi J Bhabha, Vikram Sarabhai takes the lead in India's nuclear program and with a team of India's celebrated scientists including APJ Abdul Kalam, they try to make nuclear bomb testing successful away from the keen watch of CIA. Season 2 releases on March 10 and stars Ishwak Singh, Jim Sarbh and Arjun Radhakrishnan.
Scam 2003: The Telgi Story
The much-awaited sequel of Scam 1992 is expected to release on SonyLIV in March 2023. Scam 2003 will be produced under the banner of Applause Entertainment and directed by Hansal Mehta. The series is based on the Stamp Paper Scam of 2003 and will tell the story of Abdul Karim Telgi of Karnataka who earned money by printing counterfeit stamps and selling it to banks, stock brokerages and insurance companies.
First Election: India 1951
This upcoming SonyLIV web series will be a socio-political drama that will focus on 1951-52 India. It will bring on screen the story of India's first general elections as an independent country between October 1951 to February 1952 and will recollect the memories of what happened beyond the scene. The show is directed and created by Rahul Dholakia who is known for the National Award-winning film Parzania.
Suspicious Partner
This is a Korean drama that is set in the backdrop of a legal firm which a young woman named Eun Bong-hee joins as a trainee. She grows close with prosecutor Noh Ji-wook while working on a murder case but things go awry when she becomes a suspect. The Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali dubbed versions of this popular Korean drama starring Ji Chang-wook, Nam Ji-hyun, Kwon Nara and Choi Tae-joon will be released on MX Player on March 15.
Freedom At Midnight
This upcoming SonyLIV web series will be based on a book of the same name by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre. Nikkhil Advani will serve as the producer of the show under his banner Emmay Entertainment in collaboration with StudioNext. The series will be a political thriller that will focus on the events during and after the independence of India and bring the unpopular stories of the shaping of India as we know it today.
