Mandy Moore interview cancelled for her refusal to speak on "certain issue"? This Is Us star Mandy Moore is unhappy with a publication for cancelling an interview as she refused to talk about "a certain subject". The actor took to Instagram to criticise the unnamed publication house. Speculations are rife that the subject that Moore didn't want to talk about concerned her abusive relationship to ex Ryan Adams.
Mandy Moore shared a screenshot of the message she had received from a journalist, who was in talks to profile her. The journalist said that they would be putting her interview"on pause" if she wasn't willing to talk about her past abuse, adding that "it would be wrong" to run a story about her career without including those details. "My blood is still boiling," the actor wrote while sharing the incident on social media.
In her Instagram story, Moore called out journalists who ask their subjects to "relive trauma" for a headline. "I am about to give birth any second and am not afraid to draw healthy boundaries," she said in her story.
Slamming the publication for its decision to put her comprehensive profile on her life and work on hold, Mandy Moore wrote, "I have been in this business for over two decades with plenty to chat about and sure, this publication can do as they please, but the message this sends is insulting and so out of touch with the cultural discussion around abusive relationships, directly linking someone's value back to their abuser."
In September last year, Mandy Moore announced that first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith. “Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021," she captioned the black and white picture that she shared on Instagram.
Moore married Goldsmith, who is a musician, in November 2018. Previously, Moore was married to singer Ryan Adams and divorced him in 2016. Reportedly, the reason for the split was Adam’s “psychologically abusive” behaviour and manipulative tendencies. Read more on Mandy Moore's pregnancy here.
