On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid a visit to actor Amitabh Bachchan's residence, the iconic bungalow known as Jalsa. This visit occurred on Wednesday.
Mamata Banerjee's presence was notable, as she is presently in the city to participate in a two-day meeting of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).
During her visit to Jalsa, Mamata Banerjee not only tied a rakhi for Amitabh Bachchan but also had the opportunity to interact with his family members. The Bachchan family, including Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, and Navya Naveli Nanda, were all present and dressed in vibrant traditional attire. The atmosphere was festive and joyful as the group participated in group photos, showcasing their unity.
Mamata Banerjee Ties Rakhi To Amitabh Bachchan
The camaraderie extended to capturing moments together in photographs. Notably, there was an affectionate embrace shared between Banerjee and Jaya Bachchan, captured in one of the photographs. In addition to the photographs, a video from the event has surfaced online, capturing the Bachchan family alongside Mamata Banerjee posing for the paparazzi. The visuals reflect the celebratory mood of the occasion, with everyone exuding warmth and enthusiasm.

In her interaction with the news agency ANI, Banerjee expressed her contentment following her meeting with the Bachchan family. She conveyed her happiness at the opportunity to meet the revered Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, whom she referred to as the "Bharat Ratna of India". Banerjee also mentioned that she had the privilege of tying a rakhi for him during the visit. The Chief Minister spoke fondly of her admiration for the Bachchan family, highlighting their significant contributions. She emphasised their status as India's foremost family and acknowledged their substantial impact.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan's recent project was Ghoomer, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's latest appearance was in Ponniyin Selvan: II. In the upcoming lineup, Amitabh Bachchan is set to star in Kalki 2898 A.D. featuring Prabhas.
