5 Much Awaited Malayalam Films Releasing In April 2022

Aviyal

Aviyal starring Joju George, Alexander Prasanth, Anaswara Rajan and Dain Devis released on April 7. The movie is directed by Shanil in which Joju and Anaswara play the role of a father daughter duo and the plot tells the story of Krishnan, played by Joju, from his times during his childhood and portrays various phases of his life from young age to old age.

No Way Out

">No Way Out is a Nithi Devidas film that is scheduled to release on April 22. The lead characters in the movie will be played by Basil Joseph, Ramesh Pisharody and Dharmajan Bolgatty. The trailer of the film released on April 8 that showed that the movie has a backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic where we see Ramesh's character being trapped in his home away from his pregnant wife and trying various ways to end his life out of anxiety.

CBI 5 : The Brain

This is a mystery thriller starring Mammootty and is directed by K. Madhu. The movie is the fifth installment of Mammootty starrer CBI thriller whose first film released in 1988. The popular South actor will be seen in the role of Sethurama Iyer, the protagonist of the series, a CBI officer who solves crime cases with his great mental abilities. The movie will be releasing on April 28.

Makal

Makal will mark the second innings of Malayalam actor Meera Jasmine. It is a Sathyan Anthikkad movie penned by Iqbal Kuttippuram. The movie is a slice of life family drama starring Jayaram, Devika Sanjay, Sreenivasan, Naslen K. Gafoor, Innocent and Balaji Manohar along with Meera. The movie is about a middle aged couple played by Jayaram and Meera and their teenage daughter, Devika. It will hit the theatres on April 28.

Jana Gana Mana

Jana Gana Mana is an upcoming political thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mamta Mohandas, Sri Divya, Shari, Dhruvan, Shammi Thilakan and Raja Krishnamoorthy. The movie is about a businessman based in Bengaluru whose sister dies during an agitation at her college. He seeks for assistance and justice from the authorities but is refused and hence, he embarks on a journey of vengeance. The movie is set to release on April 28.
