Cheraathukal Anthology: The forthcoming Malayalam anthology film titled Cheraathukal, the teaser of which released on June 4, seems to be a thriller involving six different stories.

The teaser introduces the main characters in a fast-pacing montage without revealing any details about the plot. However, speaking to a leading daily, the team revealed that the film revolves around six emotions, portrayed through different stories. The film is helmed by six debutant filmmakers who will release their first cinematic project with the film.
The first trailer of Cheraathukal is slated to release on June 11.

The anthology film presents six stories directed by debutant Shanoob Karivath, Sreejith Chandran, Fawaz Muhamed, Anu Kurisinkal, Jayesh Mohan and Shajan S Kallai— making their debut with this project.
The ensemble cast features actors like Mala Parvathi, Mareena Michael, and Adil Ibrahim in the lead roles along with Shivaji Guruvayoor, Manohari Joy, and Mathew Mampra, among others in prominent roles.
“All six stories handle six emotions. Mareena Michael plays a bold and bubbly home nurse with a modern outlook; Adil, as an unemployed engineer who finds bliss through entrepreneurship, while Maala plays a strong-minded Christian nun,” the team said while speaking about the film.
One of the stories has been penned by the acclaimed writer in Malayalam Literature, CV Balakrishnan.
The film was shot during the ongoing pandemic with around 100 technicians.
