As per early reports, Maidaan has already generated significant buzz, with approximately 12,805 tickets sold for the opening day. This translates to earnings of around Rs 82.81 lakh even before its official release, indicating strong anticipation and interest among audiences for the film's premiere on April 11.

The preview for the highly anticipated film Maidaan has been released, transporting us to the ‘Golden Era of football’ from 1952 to 1962. The trailer commences by acquainting us with the Indian football team during 1952, following their qualification for the Olympics held in Helsinki, Finland.
Ajay Devgn takes the lead in the film and portrays the real-life character of coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Devgn shared in an interview that Maidaan happens to be one of his best films and is also his personal favourite. He expressed satisfaction with the way the film has shaped up and commended all the elements of the film such as the storytelling, direction, and performances.

While the focus of the ">film is around coach Syed Abdul Rahim portrayed by Devgn, the underlying plot extends beyond the realm of sports and delves into the human experience of struggle, aspirations, and familial ties. In addition to Devgn, the cast of the Maidaan includes Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh. Its director is Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and the film's music is composed by AR Rahman. The production is a collaboration between Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla, and it will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages.
