As per early reports, Maidaan has already generated significant buzz, with approximately 12,805 tickets sold for the opening day. This translates to earnings of around Rs 82.81 lakh even before its official release, indicating strong anticipation and interest among audiences for the film's premiere on April 11.

The preview for the highly anticipated film Maidaan has been released, transporting us to the ‘Golden Era of football’ from 1952 to 1962. The trailer commences by acquainting us with the Indian football team during 1952, following their qualification for the Olympics held in Helsinki, Finland.
Ajay Devgn takes the lead in the film and portrays the real-life character of coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Devgn shared in an interview that Maidaan happens to be one of his best films and is also his personal favourite. He expressed satisfaction with the way the film has shaped up and commended all the elements of the film such as the storytelling, direction, and performances.
