Actor Mahima Chaudhry has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is currently working with her on a project, announced the news on Instagram on Thursday. Kher posted a video of the actor alongside a heartening caption about their conversation.
He, in the caption, stated that he got to know about Chaudhry's cancer story when he called her from the United States a month ago to cast her in his 525th film, The Signature. Their discussion moved on to him finding out she had breast cancer.
Mahima Chaudhry's Cancer Battle:
The actor added that many women around the world will be inspired by Chaudhry's attitude and that she is a hero to him. The actor also urged the fans and well-wishers to send her their love, warmth, well wishes, prayers, and blessings. The actor further informed all that she had returned to the sets.
When she was recalling how she asked Kher whether she could show up on set with a wig on, the actor broke into tears. She went on to explain how she found out about cancer growing inside her and how she gathered the courage to combat it.

Chhavi Mittal, a television actor, was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. She announced the news on social media. After doctors discovered a cancerous lump on her breast, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. She said, "I yelled out, 'I don't want cancer." Later, she spoke with a number of breast cancer doctors and survivors, all of whom assured her that "it is treatable and your life can return to normal."
She felt better for some reason, went on with her surgeon's plan of action, and kept reminding herself, "You have to fight cancer." There isn't any other option. " The actor also revealed that she was cancer-free after a 6.5-hour surgery that left her writhing in pain. She added, "I know it's going to be a long road back, but things are only going to get better now. The worst has passed. The discomfort will fade over time."
Kirron Kher
Kirron Kher, Anupam Kher's wife, was also diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer, in 2021. Anupam Kher updated the public on her health via Instagram. As she remarked, Kirron Kher also opened up about the suffering that one goes through during treatment. "This isn't a good situation to be in. Par yeh zindagi hai, One learns to cope with it and move forward. There is no other option than to treat it. Nobody enjoys going through treatment or dealing with its adverse effects. " Kher also revealed that she worked continuously throughout her cancer treatment.

Tahira Kashyap:
Tahira Kashyap, a filmmaker and author married to actor Ayushmann Khurana, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. She didn't hide her diagnosis; instead, she opted to document it in order to inspire other women throughout the world. Her treatment was completed in January 2019 and she is now cancer-free. Her story and battle have given her a lot of hope and strengthened her belief in her own strength.
Adding to her experience, she wrote, "From my obsession with long hair, associating beauty with Rapunzel tresses, and hiding most of the time behind my hair (as I felt secure, lest my crooked nose, or freckles, or pimples, or simply not so chiselled face isn't exposed) to losing my hair, wearing extensions and a cap, going bald, to now a short crop, I am enjoying every phase because hair somehow lost my insecurity, my stupid notion of beauty and my complexes."
Last year, the star was cancer-free; she revealed that her mastectomy had made her love herself even more. She's become a 2.0 version of herself as a result of it.
Sonali Bendre:
Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, and she travelled to New York to undertake intensive therapy. She spoke openly about her battle with the disease. She also revealed that she struggled with her changing appearance after being diagnosed with cancer. The actor said she was left with a 23-to-24-inch scar after one of the most painful periods of her life.
She added that doctors wanted her out of the hospital because they were afraid of her contracting an infection. "My surgeon said after surgery, 'I want you to walk in 24 hours. I was holding my IV and strolling down the corridor in less than 24 hours. It was difficult because I had a 23–24-inch cut."
Manisha Koirala:
In 2012, Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was certified cancer-free in 2015 after a protracted battle. She spent six months in the United States as part of her treatment. The actor, who is now cancer-free, spoke about how the illness changed her life. "I was traumatised when I was diagnosed with cancer at the time, but looking back, I believe it has given me a new perspective on life and a lot of optimism for many things in life."
During an interview, she added, "It also made me realise how important my life and health are to me." In 2018, the actor also published Healed: How Cancer Gave Me a New Life, which included her cancer battle and how it gave her a new life.
