The Netflix reality show based on tinsel town celebs tracks the lavish lives of Bhavana Pandey (wife of Chunky Pandey and mom to actor Ananya Panday), Neelam Kothari Soni (actor and wife of Sameer Soni), Maheep Kapoor (married to Anil Kapoor's brother Sanjay Kapoor), and Seema Khan (previously married to actor Salman Khan's brother Sohail Khan).
Maheep reveals Sanjay Kapoor cheated on her
The new season takes a sublime turn when Maheep reveals Sanjay cheated on her in the early days of their marriage. She was speaking to Seema about him on the show, when she speaks about the incident. The couple have been married for 25 years. They have a daughter named Shanaya (also an aspiring actor) and a son named Jahaan.
In her conversation to Seema, Maheep said, "I walked out with Shanaya. I stood up for myself but then, I had a newborn baby. Again, as a woman and as a mother, the first priority is my child. I owed my daughter this amazing father, which he is. I owed it to myself. And if I look back and if I broke this s**t up, I would have regretted it all my life,” Maheep said.
In a confession later to the camera, she said, “I wanted my marriage to work. At any cost. And I did it selfishly for me and for my child. It was not a compromise at all. It was for me."
When Seema questioned Maheep if she has forgiven Sanjay for the 'indiscretion', she said, “I am grateful that we moved (on)… Marriage is shades of grey. I know that for him, marriage is lifelong.”
Later, in an interview with India Today, Maheep confessed if it was difficult for her to reveal something so private on the show. “There’s nothing that’s been difficult. It just happened. We were in the moment," she said.
“We’ve pushed the envelope (referring to showing their real side on the show). I am hoping that women will understand that everything is not hunky dory. Everyone has their ups and their downs in life. And, we go through it, we chug along and that’s what it is. It’s not scratched under the surface, you will see that we all have our issues. It was important (to speak about it)," she added.
