Actor R Madhavan—since his debut in the cult classic films like Alaipayuthey and Minnale which was remade in Hindi as Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein—was declared the national heartthrob. It's no surprise that the actor marked his 23rd Anniversary with a romantic message for his wife Sarita Birje.
The couple who celebrate their wedding anniversary on June 6 had shared unseen photos of theirs on Instagram with a sweet note wishing each other. The actor shared an old photo of the couple from when they were young and wrote, "How is it that I am more in love with you now than ever before and I am just getting started. Happy anniversary wifey," with a bunch of heart emojis.
Meanwhile, his wife Sarita shared a collage of their photos; one was a recent photo and the other from their younger days. She captioned the photo, "23 years of togetherness. Today, I realized how quickly time flies. I love you so much. Happy wedding anniversary, my love."

Madhavan Sarita Love Story
The couple reportedly had met long before Madhavan rose to fame as the heartthrob. The actor, after completing his graduation in Electronics, had begun conducting sessions on personality development and his wife Sarita was one among the attendees of the class. Sarita, who was an aspiring air hostess cleared the interview in 1991 after taking his classes. She then took Madhavan out to dinner to thank him.
Speaking in an earlier interview, the actor said, "I was teaching a personality development class in Kolhapur when I met Sarita. She was aspiring for a job as an airliner and attended my classes. When she finally bagged the cat, she thought it was in part, due to my classes and took me to a ‘thank you’ dinner. That’s how it started."
The couple eventually began dating. After courting each other for eight years, the two tied the knot in 1999 in a traditional Tamil wedding. Their wedding was a quaint affair with friends and family present.
On the work front, Madhavan is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect which is a biographical drama based on Nambi Narayanan, a former rocket scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation who was falsely charged with espionage and arrested in 1994.
