With love, lust and a plethora of surprises in between, the much-awaited second season of 'Lust Stories' is all set to premiere on Netflix.
This season promises not just four unique stories by four directors but also a cast that will surprise the audience in never seen roles. The OTT platform recently dropped the teaser for the series, and it has already grabbed eyeballs.
Lust Stories 2 Teaser
Produced by Flying Unicorn Entertainment and RSVP, the series has four stories each of which is directed by Konkana Sen Sharma, R. Balki, Sujoy Ghosh and Amit Ravindernath respectively. What's interesting is that the anthology showcases the idea of love and lust from a female lens, binding together all its women with a certain commonality. From the subjective idea of love to desires and relationships, the series aims to bring to light narratives that are fresh yet relatable.
With Neena Gupta on board, the series sure has wise humour intact. The teaser gives a peak into It, where she is heard comparing marital relations to car test drives. "Jis cheez see tum paida hue ho, who bakwas kaise ho sakti hai (The thing because of which you were born, how can that be wrong)," she says when her son raises a question on the subject of sex.
Cast
Prepared to be blown away by the versatility the cast brings to the table. Featuring Kajol, Neena Gupta, Amruta Shubhash, Mrunal Thakur, Tamannaah Bhatia, Tillotama Shome, Vijay Varma, Angad Bedi, and Kumud Mishra among others, the series definitely has a spark to it way before its release.
The makers will soon announce the release dates for the season.
The second season comes five years after the first one premiered on Netflix. With season one setting just the right tone for its audience, it will be interesting to watch four refreshing takes on the subject narrated by four talented directors of our times.
