Lionsgate India Studios announced its next film Nausikhiye recently. The Managing Director of Emerging Markets Asia at Lionsgate, Rohit Jain declared that the film is an extension to their endeavours at creating full-length feature films in India. In September, the Studios announced its debut feature film, Letters To Mr Khanna, starring Neetu Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal.
Nausikhiye is a comedy-genre film that will explore the story of two wedding crashers who accidentally end up stealing a bride, a move that leads to a humorous ruckus and a chase across the countryside.

Nausikhiye Release Details
Taking to Instagram, the cast and crew of Nausikhiye shared the news about the film going on floors. To be directed by Santosh Singh, the film will be produced by Ellipsis Entertainment.
The film has an interesting fresh cast including Shreya Dhanwanthary, Abhimanyu Dassani and Amol Parashar in lead roles. Helmed as a laugh riot, the film will showcase the story of how two wedding crashers will steal a bride and the chase that follows when the three are being searched for. Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi are the writers of the film.
Actor Shreya Dhanwanthary took to her Instagram to share the news. She posted the pictures alongside the team sharing her excitement about being part of the cast.
In the media statements made during the announcement of the film, Dhanwanthary shared how comedy has always been her favourite genre not just as an actor but also as a viewer. "This is my third project with Ellipsis. I’m excited to be a part of this crazy script. I feel my audience will also get to watch me in a different and new light," she said. Dhanwanthary was last seen in Chup, starring Pooja Bhatt and Sunny Deol.
Abhimanyu Dassani, who was last seen in the film Nikamma, shared his thoughts about Nausikhiye and said, "It's a mad caper. The film has a quirky and charming small-town vibe. The hilarious situations alongside great music will make for a wonderful watch."
Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg, both managing partners at Ellipsis Entertainment, revealed that Naushikhiye is for all age groups and has the power to travel across geographic and connect with the audience like never before. The will is all set to go on floors post and the release details will be shared soon.
