The streaming platform often evaluates the views of the show before renewing any series for a new season. While season 2 part 2 already getting love from the fans, everyone is anticipating season 3. Here's everything we know about it.

Here's Everything We Know About Lincoln Lawyer S3

Lincoln Lawyer's season 2 has emerged to be a hit among the audience at Netflix. With part 2 releasing this week, there has already been excitement amongst the fans of the show for season 3. Based on Michael Colloney's novel series of the same name, the show follows Mickey Haller, an infamous defence lawyer known for working more from his Lincoln car than his office. The second season of the series, like several other series on Netflix, split into two parts. Part 1 was released on July 6, 2023, and part 2 will now release on August 3 which will be the major turning point for Haller. Fans are excited to see where the story will go. 

Lincoln Lawyer Season 2

While the novel series has seven parts, Lincoln Lawyer's Season 2 is adapted from the novel series's fourth book, The Fifth Witness. 

Season 2 of the series is about one of the toughest cases on Haller's plate as he defends chef Lisa Trammel who is running on trial for murder. Things get more complicated with Haller drowning under pressure related to issues with his ex-wives, and his feelings for Lisa.

Will there be a Season 3?

Although there have been no official announcements made for renewing the series with a third season, fans are already anticipating the release. Additionally, there are still many stories from the novel series that are left giving the series makers enough material for adaptation. 

Release Date of Season 3:

Though the announcement of renewing the series remains unclear, we can still guess the release time tracing through the history of the show. Lincoln Lawyer was renewed for season 2 in July 2022 with part 1 releasing a little over a year in July 2023. If the fairly positive chances of season 3 follow the series, it might possibly follow the same timeline, and the third season could stream in the first half of 2024. Although these are just a few assumptions, the specific date could be delayed given the current WGA strike.

Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Cast

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo continues to play Mickey Haller with Jazz Raycole also returning as Izzy (Mickey's smart driver) and Angus Sampson as Cisco. Neve Campbell continues playing the role of Haller's ex-wife Maggi, along with Becki Newton as Ugly Betty, Haller's second wife and now work colleague. The accused murderer Chef Lisa Trammel is played by Lana Parilla. Krista Warner plays Hayley, Haller and Maggi's daughter. It will also be interesting to see Haller's lawyer father make a return in season three. Haller's father is played by Elliott Gould.

Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Storyline

Michael Colloney's four books remain for adaptation in the series including the Lincoln Lawyer Book that season 1 skipped. While the Netflix series adaptation from the novel series does not follow a certain sequence, one of the options for season 3's adaptation could be The Reversal which is book 3 in the novel series in which Haller gets disenchanted by defence work and takes up the role of the prosecutor. The book also shows how Haller's half-brother Harry Bosch also gets involved in the case. Though The Reversal technically comes before The Fifth Witness which is already adapted as season 2 by Netflix, it sounds like a fitting choice for season 3. 

Another option for season 3's adaptation could be The Gods Of Guilt which comes after The Fifth Witness, where Haller takes on the defence of his longtime client's killer who has appeared previously in the show. This could be a great storyline for bringing back old characters that might challenge Haller's emotions at work.
