Lily Collins starrer Emily In Paris gets renewed for seasons 3 and 4 weeks after the release of its second season. Lily Collins plays the role of a marketing executive from Chicago who lands a job in Paris.
Netflix’s rom-com series Emily In Paris recently aired its second season on December 22, 2021, on the OTT platform and has also been announced for renewal with two more seasons.
Netflix also stated that the show had a positive reception from the audience as it ranked in the Global Netflix Top 10 list across 94 countries with the viewing hours amounting to 107.6 million from December 22 to December 26, 2021.
The show stars actor Lily Collins as a marketing executive based in Chicago named Emily Cooper who acquires a job in Paris as her company gets involved with a French luxury marketing company. Emily In Paris revolves around the life and struggles of Emily as she tries to impress her new colleagues, make new friends and involve in new romances in the city of Paris.
Lily Collins celebrated the announcement of Season 3 and 4 with an Instagram post she shared thanking her fans for the support. “Woke up early to give you some VERY exciting news… @emilyinparis is back for Season 3… AND wait for it, Season 4!!!!! I can’t tell if Emily would love or hate this announcement outfit but she’d be screaming either way. Truly love you all, thanks so much for the incredible support. Seriously cannot wait for more. Merci Beaucoup!!…” She wrote.
Netflix India also shared the announcement with a FRIENDS reference in an Instagram Post.
The show is created and written by Darren Star who is also the executive producer with Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns and Andrew Fleming. It is produced by MTV Studios, Darren Star Productions and Jax Media. The first season of the show got nominated for the Best Comedy Series award at the Golden Globes. It also got nominated for the Prime Time Emmy Award 2021.
