Independence Day weekend films: Independence Day falls on a Sunday this year. Unfortunately, we cannot step out to visit crowded tourist spots to celebrate the day due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there's a lot we can do from within the comfort of our homes. As we enter the 74th year of our country's freedom, we can all try and free ourselves from the stress that has been a constant part of our lives for the past one and half year. Being a movie lover, I would choose to lie on my bed and binge watch some of the latest releases to unwind and recharge.
With many films opting for an OTT release during the pandemic, we have a series of options to choose from this weekend. Interestingly, the digital space is not limited only to mainstream cinema but spreads across regions, languages and genres. It feels good to see actors and directors exploring and experimenting fresh ideas and unfamiliar story lines. I have already kept my list ready. What about you?
