Here's how Lara Dutta transformed into Indira Gandhi

In an interview, Lara Dutta said that portraying Indira Gandhi was a big responsibility because she is an iconic figure. There was a lot of homework and research that went behind it but she called it a lifetime opportunity.

The film also deals with with a hijack situation that happened during her stint as the Prime Minister. She was extremely centred and so portraying her in that form was important, she said.

It was difficult to recognise the 46-year-old actor in the movie. As per netizens, the makeup and prosthetics have been brilliant done.  Her makeup artist also got many mentions on social media.
