The first installment of Joker overwhelmed the audience with its power pack emotion, storyline, and outstanding performances by actors. The makers have come back with Joker's sequel, it seems a lot more promising. It revealed the first look of the cast, only to increase the curiosity among the viewers.
Todd Phillips the director of the sequel to Joker shared a photograph on Instagram, which shows singer Lady Gaga and actor Joaquin Phoenix together. He captioned the photo- "Happy Valentines Day". The photo has this intense eye exchange between Gaga and Phoenix (Joker & Quinn). Gaga with blond hair, staring into the eyes of an in-love-looking Joaquin Phoenix is a little scary.
Lady Gaga's Look In Joker Sequel
Phillips revealed the actors' looks on Valentine's Day, especially Lady Gaga's first look in the film. The singer Lady Gaga will reportedly be playing Harley Quinn in the sequel to the 2019 film. The first part did well at the box office earning over $1 billion worldwide and it also earned the actor Joaquin Phoenix the best actor Oscar.
So far, Phillips's post has received 226,104 likes on Instagram, leaving fans to give thought on it. One of the users commented, "what is cooking?"
Margot Robbie Harley portrayed Quinn's character in the Suicide Squad films and Birds of Prey. The makers confirmed Lady Gaga's association with the Joker sequel in August 2022. The early association of Lady Gaga with Phillips has been on A Star Is Born. The director is also the writer, as per the report, Todd Phillips wrote the script of the film with Scott Silver.
Joker sequel has already went on the floor and currently shooting in New York and Los Angeles and is scheduled to release on October 4, 2024. The release date specifies the gap between the first and second parts. After five years the second part will be released.
Joker created history and was well-received across the globe. The film won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and became a major competitor at the Academy Awards earning 11 nominations.
