Soon after Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi starrer Mimi reportedly leaked online on July 26, makers of the film preponed the release date by four days before its original release date which was July 30. Ever since the release, termed as "delivery before time", the hashtag MimiStreamingNow trended big time on Twitter.

Set for an OTT release on July 30, netizens were evidently taken by surprise when Mimi saw an early release speculating an online leak. However, makers deliberately termed the early release as "delivery before time" hinting at the backdrop of pregnancy and motherhood in the comedy-drama.

Sanon took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “Mimi STREAMING NOW!!! Mimi went into labour early! Our baby couldn’t wait to see you all!!!"

The hashtags of Mimi, MimiStreamingNow and Mimi Leaked started trending ever since the early release of the film. Amidst praises for the storyline of the movie, netizens applauded Sanon's performance in the movie claimed it to be her version 2.0
