Kristen Wiig And Avi Rothman Are Married

Kristen Wiig and Avi Rothman: Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig confirmed that she is married to actor Avi Rothman by referring to him as ‘my husband’, two years after announcing their engagement.

Wiig is known for her starring in Bridesmaids (2011) and Girl Most Likely (2012) along with her roles in Whip It (2009), Date Night (2010), Ghost Busters (2016), The Skeleton Twins (2014) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). She made her Saturday Night Live debut in 2005 and became a full member of the cast in 2006. Rothman is an actor and writer, who made a brief appearance in Wonder Woman 1984.

During an interview with Howard Stern on DJ's SiriusXM radio show, Wiig revealed that she and Rothman had privately exchanged vows. She stated that “I'm very lucky that I have these two babies and my husband. They make it all better, and it's changed my life.”

Wiig and Rothman were first seen together in May 2016 during a romantic getaway to Hawaii. The couple announced their engagement on August 16, 2019, after dating for three years. Wiig and Rothman welcomed their children via a surrogate in June 2020. During the interview, Wiig spoke to Stern about the challenges she faced while juggling motherhood and a busy career. She spoke about her apprehension about leaving her twins when she returns to work. She stated that -

I’m convinced they’re going to forget who I am if I’m gone for a day. I have looked at my children and said “I am your mother!”
