Konkona Sensharma's Mumbai Diaries 26/11 To Release Soon: Meet The Female Cast

Mumbai Diaries 26/11 cast: The upcoming series which depicts the heroic story of doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff, is set to premiere on OTT on September 9. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the series stars Konkona Sensharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai and Shreya Dhanwanthary in lead roles.

Advani, is known for films like D-Day, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Batla House and the recently released anthology Unpaused, had earlier clarified that this is a fictional edge-of-the-seat medical drama that pays tribute to the frontline workers, who united fearlessly to save the people in Mumbai city.

The series is set against the backdrop of the dreadful terror attacks that took place in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. It was the makers' aim to showcase how the medical professionals and first responders took care of the injured on the unforgettable night of Indian history.

The show also stars Satyajeet Dubey, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Natasha Bharadwaj and Prakash Belawadi. In a statement, Advani said that the people in Mumbai often discuss the unfortunate night but there have been no shows and films that are centered around the doctors. The show portrays the human spirit in the face of unprecedented danger and celebrates the brave doctors who saved the day.

Konkona Sensharma

Sensharma also took to her Twitter and shared the announcement poster. In the poster, she is joined by the ensemble cast and everyone has an intense look on their faces. One can also spot a burning Taj Hotel in the background. 

The 41-year-old actor has been working in films since 1983 when she first began as a child actor in the film Indira. She has now two National Film awards and a few other awards to her credit. The talented actor, the daughter of prominent filmmaker Aparna Sen, was most recently seen in anthology Ajeeb Daastaan. More here.

Tina Desai

Desai started her career with modelling and is now a popular actor in Bollywood. She has built a huge fan base in Hollywood as well. The actor graduated in Business Management and got into the movie business after participating in the reality show contest Get Gorgeous. She then worked as a model for several years and featured in advertisements at that time. She has worked in Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande and Table No. 21.

Shreya Dhanwanthary

Miss India 2008 finalist and actor Dhanwanthary has earned laurels for her role as journalist Sucheta Dalal in the hit web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. The actor will also be seen in Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin starrer Looop Lapeta.

Natasha Bharadwaj

Bharadwaj always wanted to be an actor. After her win in the reality show in 2018, she was inspired to start acting after watching the work of actors like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra who she says always keep her motivated to work towards her goal.

Mrunmayee Deshpande

Deshpande is predominantly known for her work in the Marathi movie and television industry.
