Karan Johar's celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan season 8 is all set to premiere on October 26 on Disney+Hotstar. The first promo of the show is making buzz amongst the fans across. The show's first guests also dubbed "Bollywood's Royalty" Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh make some striking revelations according to the promo.
The star power couple tied the knot in 2018 in an intimate ceremony in Lake Como, Italy and later revealed they had been dating for six years before their marriage. But that's not it, Ranveer Singh has now revealed they were secretly engaged three years before their marriage. The couple is also said to be for the first time releasing their wedding footage on the show.
Koffee With Karan 8:
The first promo of Karan Johar's talk show Koffee With Karan 8 is a treat for DeepVeer's fans who were last seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmavat
Ranveer Singh Calls Karan Johar "Tharki Uncle":
In the promo clip, Karan Johar is seen out of his colourful wardrobe stunning everyone in a classic black old suit attire.
The actor couple sits close twinning in all-black as well while the host calls them "smoking hot", to which Ranveer jokingly responds "Thanks Tharki (pervert) Uncle" to which Deepika laughs out loud.
Secret Engagement:
Karan straightforwardly asks the couple if they were secretly engaged before their marriage, to which Ranveer nods recalling "2015 I guess." Ranveer adds he proposed to Deepika because he said he did not want to risk the chance adding, "Iss se pehle koi aur aa jaye, maine kaha, main chappal rakh deta hu." Deepika confirms with a jibe, "Advance Booking".
The couple are also rumoured to be revealing their wedding footage to fans for the first time on the show this season.
Deepika Says She's Married To Rocky Randhava:
Karan in his rapid-fire round of the show asked Deepika if she would ever date Rocky Randhava, a west-Delhi flamboyant character of Karan Johar's latest film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani played by Ranveer. Deepika answers "I am married to Rocky Randhava" emphasising how close Ranveer's personality is to his reel life character Rocky Randhawa.
Deepika Claims Her Best On-Screen Chemistry Is With Hrithik Roshan:
In another question of the rapid-fire round by, Deepika took her husband Ranveer and the host Karan by surprise when she without a second's thought answered Karan's question "Besides Ranveer, who do you think you have the best on-screen chemistry with?" which Deepika promptly answered "I think I have amazing chemistry with Hrithik which everyone is going to see" hinting about her upcoming film with the actor Fighter, which will be releasing on January 25, 2024.
While Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were last seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat, Deepika after her much-appreciated cameo in SRK's Jawan will next be seen in Singham Again, and Kalki 2898 AD, while Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Don 3 backed by Farhan Akhtar, where the actor has replaced the legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan.
