Karan Johar is one of the popular producers in the Hindi cinema industry and is known for the extravagance of his films. The producer-filmmaker was also a host of a chat show Koffee With Karan which was undoubtedly one of the popular ones, for most parts because the guests always made it to the headlines because of revelations they made on the show.
Everyone looked after the latest seasons for they were excited to see the celebrities be candid and cheeky with the host. But Johar announced the sad news on Wednesday, May 4, for everyone who was eagerly waiting for the show’s season 7. The host announced that the show will not be returning to our screens.
No More Koffee With Karan For Bollywood Buffs
Karan posted a picture of the announcement on his social media accounts captioned “Important Announcement.” His note read, “Hello, Koffee With Karan has been a part of my life, and yours, for 6 seasons now. I'd like to think we've made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee With Karan will not be returning. Karan Johar.”

Fans of the show were disheartened and took to the comment section urging the filmmaker to return with season 7. The users explained how the show has always been a guilty pleasure and it going off-air is disheartening for them. A user wrote in the comment, “That's really sad!! KWK was and will always be an iconic guilty pleasure for many.”
Koffee With Karan first aired on television on November 19, 2004, and concluded with the sixth and final season on March 17, 2019. The chat show was reportedly the second-longest-running talk show. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor and others have appeared on the chat show as guests.
Speculations were going around the mills that the show will return with season 7 and it was believed that newlywed actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor would be the first guests until Karan’s announcement today. Meanwhile, the producer-filmmaker is busy with his next directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film will feature Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles and feature veterans like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
