North West painting scrutiny irks Kim Kardashian: Social media influencer, celebrity and model Kim Kardashian is not happy with netizens who took to scrutinising her daughter North West's oil painting. Kardashian had recently shared a painting made by her eldest daughter, who is seven years old. "My little artist North" she captioned the landscape painting that she shared on Instagram. However, when social media questioned North's skills, Kardashian didn't take to it kindly.
As the speculation over the oil painting, that clearly is signed "North" piled up, Kim Kardashian posted a story in which she slammed critics, warning them to now play with her "WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN!!!"
She added in her story that North West has been taking a "serious" oil painting class along with her best friend, "where their talents and creativity are being encouraged and nurtured." She also revealed that it took North West several weeks to complete the painting.
"I'm seeing op-ed pieces in the media and social media from grown adults breaking down whether or not my child actually painted this! How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of not being awesome!" wrote Kardashian.
She further urged critics of her daughter to stop embarrassing themselves with the negativity "and allow every child to be GREAT!!!"
A young woman, claiming to be the daughter of North West's art teacher also shared a TikTok video defending the celebrity kid and confirmed that her mother had taught North West to paint.
