Kiara Advani On Dating Sidharth Malhotra: 'We're More Than Close Friends'

Kabir Singh co-stars Kiara Advani, Shahid Kapoor graced the Koffee With Karan couch on Thursday. The two revealed a lot about the personal and professional lives, with Advani casually spilling beans on her rumoured relationship to Sidharth Malhotra. In an effort to admit that she indeed dating Malhotra, Kapoor and Johar constantly teased Advani about her ‘alleged’ romance with her Shershaah co-star. While Shahid called the pair ‘good-looking’, Karan wondered how gorgeous their children would be.

From her thoughts of  the institution of marriage, meeting Malhotra and a 'not-so-confirmed' wedding venue, Johar badgered and teased Adavni till she finally opened up a little about her love story with Malhotra.

At the beginning of the episode Johar questioned Advani if she was denying her relationship. Her reply was: "I am not denying or accepting." He then asked her, "Are you close friends (with Malhotra)?" The actor said, "More than close friends."

Advani said she knew Malhotra way before they were cast in Shershaah. She said, “We started talking at the wrap up party of Lust Stories—which we crashed. We casually met.” Kapoor added, “Nice to know that you remember so clearly where you guys met.” Advani continued, “Of course, I’ll never forget that night.”

When asked about the eventual wedding to Malhotra, the actor added, “I’ve always believed in the institution of marriage, because I’ve seen a beautiful marriage at home. I do see that in my life, but I’m not revealing anything on Koffee with Karan.”

The host also wanted to know if they would be invited for the wedding, referring to the recent slew of Bollywood weddings that were held privately. “We’ll get the location and dates by the end of the episode. She’ll be like, ‘It’s happening in Vienne in December,'" Johar teasingly mentioned. He added, “Well, whoever you marry, we hope you marry who we think you are marrying, but we will be invited, won’t we?" To this, Advani said, “Of course, you all will be."

Meanwhile, Malhotra, who featured in the last episode of Koffee With Karan, was also prodded him about his plans with Advani. He dodged the question carefully and said, “I am manifesting a happier and brighter future.” When the host asked, “With Kiara?”, the actor answered, “If it was her, it would be great.”
