Kaun Banegi Shikharwati Teaser Introduces Us To An Impressive Ensemble Cast

Kaun Banegi Shikharwati, a new show starring Lara Dutta Bhupathi, Naseeruddin Shah, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra amongst others, is all set to release on online in 2022.  The actors and the production house posted on social media a video clip introducing the characters in the project and announced its release.

The teaser features gold-rimmed portraits with pictures of the Kaun Banegi Shikharwati main characters. The first image of each character is in traditional royal clothing with a serious face and the second glimpse is more casual and quirky looking- hinting at their everyday reality that is not as fancy as it may seem. The 40-second clip ends with a final glimpse of all the characters of the show with Naseeruddin Shah sitting in the middle, flanked on the two sides by Khan and Dutta.  In the backdrop is a picturesque fort surrounded by a quintessential garden.

The web series is a comedy-drama which is set in Rajasthan and revolves around a has-been royal and his four daughters.

The actor and winner of Miss Universe in 2000, Lara Dutta Bhupathi posted the clip on her social media, Twitter, with the caption, "Hum toh #Shikharwati ke liye nikal hi gaye hai, aap bhi aa jao, Raja se bulawa aaya hai! #KaunBanegiShikharwari coming this January 2022 on @Zee5india."

The web series stars Naseeruddin Shah as Raja Mrityunjay alias the nalayak king, Raghubir Yadav as Mishra Ji alias shikharwati ke birbal, Lara Dutta as Rajkumari Devyani alias madam kadki, Soha Ali Khan as Rajkumari Gayatri  alias the sanskaari one, Kritika Kamra as Rajkumari Kaamini alias kaafi trending, Anya Singh as Rajkumari Uma alias total nazuk. The web series is directed by Gauravv K Chawla, who also helmed P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke.

While speaking with media on his post lockdown work, Cyrus Sahukar, who also features in the web series, said, "I am excited to be a part of Nikhil Advani produced web series. Just like Kadak (which starred Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey) which has an ensemble cast, here too, I will get to work with Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan and Naseeruddin Shah among others."
