Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram Stories to extend a warm welcome to Kareena Kapoor as the new national ambassador for UNICEF India on May 5, a day after the announcement was made by UNICEF India.

Chopra, who served as a national ambassador for UNICEF India for a decade before becoming a global goodwill ambassador in December 2016, expressed her joy at Kapoor’s appointment. She shared Kareena's Instagram post from Saturday's UNICEF India event and wrote, "Welcome to the family, @kareenakapoorkhan, very well deserved (raised hands emoji) @unicef @unicefindia."

In response to Priyanka's message, Kareena reposted it on her own Instagram and expressed her gratitude by writing, "Thank you, PCJ (red heart emoji). See you soon."

Kareena Kapoor’s Announcement
