Kanguva: First Look Of Suriya's Promises Intriguing Action-Thriller

The makers of Suriya’s next Kanguva released the first look of the film on Thursday. Although the poster doesn’t reveal Suriya’s face, it does trigger enormous curiosity among the fans. 

The first-look poster features Suriya’s arms, decorated with tribal tattoos and adorned with amulets made out of bones. He is also seen sporting a long hairstyle. The actor’s warrior avatar looks intriguing, for sure. The makers have released the first look ahead of the actor’s birthday, which falls on July 23.

The film is the first collaboration between Suriya and Bollywood actor Disha Patani. Kanguva is directed by Siva and bankrolled by UV Creations and Studio Green Films.

The first-look poster was shared on the official Twitter handles of the production houses. The poster was tweeted along with a caption that read, "Each scar carries a story! The King arrives." It was further revealed that glimpses of the film would be released on the actor’s birthday.

Reacting to the first-look poster, a user called the poster "absolutely terrific." Some fans compared the poster to the character of Killmonger from Black Panther, played by Michael B. Jordan. A fan even commented, "Indian Killmonger?" Many other netizens filled the comment section with fire emojis.

Earlier this year, director Siva shared that they were looking forward to complete film production soon. Revealing the title of the film, he stated that Suriya’s 42^nd film will feature him as Kanguva, who is a man with the power of fire. He elaborated on Suriya’s avatar as Kanguva, which will surely be a memorable, majestic, unique, and intriguing experience for movie buffs. He added that the release date of the film would be announced as soon as the shooting of the film finishes.

The film is reported to be released in early 2024. The actor was last seen as Rolex in a cameo appearance in Kamal Hassan’s film Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj.
