Kangana Ranaut visits Golden Temple: On Monday, actor-filmmaker Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to share pictures from her Golden Temple visit. She said that she was 'speechless and stunned' by  the temple's beauty.

Kangana Ranaut visits Golden Temple, shares pictures with fans

On Monday, Kangana Ranaut paid obeisance at Golden Temple amid tight security. It was the first time she visited the holy shrine. Reportedly, Ranaut and her family reached Amritsar by air and went to the temple for a brief visit at 7:3o am. She avoided any interaction with the media but later shared pictures on social media.

Ranaut shared a few pictures on Instagram from her visit to the Golden Temple. She captioned her post as, "Today I visited Sri Harimandir Sahib Golden Temple. Even though I grew up in the North and almost everyone in my family has already visited the temple many times, only for me it was first time...speechless and stunned with Golden temple's beauty and divinity."

Ranaut visited the temple under tight security

Apart from Ranaut's personal security, the Punjab police also accompanied the actor. The deputy commissioner of police (law and order) oversaw the arrangements. The office-bearers of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) that manages the shrine and felicitates VIPs on their visit stayed back.

Ranaut made a controversial tweets in December 2020 about an elderly woman participating in the farmer's agitation against the BJP-led Centre's farm laws. The SGPC had issued a notice for calling the woman from a farmer's family a daily wager. Ranaut deleted the tweet later but the authorities demanded an apology.

Earlier this month, the Panga actor tested positive for COVID-19. She called the deadly disease a "small time flu". Following this, Instagram took down her post. After she tested negative, she shared her report on her social media handle because people did not trust the authenticity of her words. On recovering fully, she left for her home in Manali.
