Actor-producer Kamaal Hasan is celebrating his birthday today, and among all the social media posts made to wish him on his special day, his daughter's post has won the hearts of the Vishwaroopam star's fans. His daughter, Shruti Haasan took to her Instagram and shared a throwback photo of his childhood to wish him. Haasan turns 68 today. He shares two daughters, Shruti and Akshara, with his ex-spouse Sarika.

Shruti Haasan shared a story on her Instagram page in which she posted a throwback picture from her father's childhood. She shared the picture on the occasion of his 68th birthday and sent him birthday wishes. The actor shares a never seen before photo of Kamal Haasan and wrote, "Happy birthday bapuji." In the photo, Haasan is seeing dressed neatly, smiling and posing for the camera. Haasan's two actor daughters frequently share photos of themselves with their father on social special occasions. Recently, Akshara Haasan took to her social media and posted a photo of herself with her father on the occasion of Diwali.
Kamal Haasan also celebrated his 68th birthday at the home of filmmakers Mani Ratnam and Suhasini Ratnam's home. Suhasini has shared a series of photographs from the party she hosted on the occasion of her uncle Kamal Haasan’s birthday. “Celebrating Kamal at home,” she captioned the post. In the photos, Kamal could be seen surrounded by the members of his family and sharing a moment with them.
New film announcement
In an interesting announcement ahead of his birthday, Kamal Haasan took to social media to share an update on his new film, KH 234. The film is helmed by veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam and marks Haasan's return to a Madras Talkies production after 35 years. KH 234 is Ratnam and Haasan's second collaboration after the 1987 film Nayakan which is still considered a cult film. While other details about the film are yet to be shared, the confirmation of AR Rahman composing the music of the film was made through the announcement.
Haasan made his debut on the big screen as a child actor in the 1960 Tamil film, Kalathur Kannamma. He emerged as one of the country’s biggest superstars, starring in multiple films. He will now be seen in the Tamil-language film Indian 2, which is directed by S Shankar. The film stars Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Bobby Simhaa.
