JugJugg Jeeyo recently had a special screening in Mumbai attended by Bollywood celebs, who gave the movie high marks. The family comedy, which also features Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor, centres on two couples from different generations who are on the verge of divorcing one another.
Filmmakers Siddharth Malhotra, Sharan Sharma, and actor Neha Dhupia shared their impressions of the movie on Instagram. Neha wrote, “There is something about watching a great film before the release, this being one, you can share what a great film it actually is. Jugg Jugg Jeeyo is all things wonderful, funny and entertaining. Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor are all so good,” she ended the post by calling Karan Johar a ‘game-changer’. Jug Jugg Jeeyo preview screenings were held in Mumbai and Delhi on Wednesday night. The movie is about relationships and daily life. Additionally, the first few reviews from critics who just so happened to see the movie are favourable.

Calling the film a ‘winsome entertainer,’ movie critic Taran Adarsh wrote, “Now for some #GoodNewwz… #JJJ is a winsome entertainer… Well-made entertainer. Balances drama, humour, and emotions seamlessly… Director #RajMehta gets it right yet again… Watch it with your loved ones! #JugJuggJeeyoReview.”
Noting that the screenplay is thoroughly entertaining, film trade analyst, Sumit Kadel tweeted, “JJJ is the BEST FAMILY ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR. The screenplay is thoroughly entertaining with an excellent blend of humour & emotions. Director @raj_a_mehta deals with a sensitive subject like divorce compellingly. This one is set to be a WINNER at the Box Office.”
Film critic and music reviewer Rohit Jaiswal wrote, “Those who question #VarunDhawan acting, Plz watch #JugJuggJeeyo this Friday, can’t reveal much but there is a scene towards the end of the film where Varun & #KiaraAdvani fight, trust me after watching that scene you’re thoughts about Varun will change, he has emerged as WINNER.”
Others have called the film to be a sure-fire hit. “Smart writing, fantastic humour and heartfelt emotions are the three pillars of this well-made film. The fourth pillar is the performances of its principal cast. Best Family Entertainer of 2022,” said one user.
On June 24, JugJugg Jeeyo is slated for release in theatres.

The movie is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Dharma Productions under the banner of Viacom18 Studios and is directed by Raj Mehta.
