Jhund Release Date: The makers are now releasing their films that had been on hold for the past two years owing to the epidemic, thanks to the huge success and excitement of newly released films in theatres.
The box office sales of last year's films, such as Pushpa: The Rise, and more recent movies, such as Gangubai Kathiawadi, Valimai, and Bheemla Nayak, have confirmed that the theatre industry is recovering after nearly two years of being crushed by the COVID-19 crisis. And bigger names like RRR and Prabhas' Radhe Shyam and Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey will be hitting the big screens in March, along with some of the year's most anticipated flicks.
Jhund Release Date:
Jhund is a Hindi-language biographical sports film based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of Slum Soccer, a non-profit organisation. The film, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akash Thosar, and Rinku Rajguru, was written and directed by Nagraj Manjule. The film is produced by T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., and Aatpat Films and stars Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni, and Meenu Arora.
In the film, Bachchan plays a professor who encourages slum youths to join a football team. In December 2018, filming began in Nagpur. The film will be released in theatres on March 4, 2022.
Based on the story of Vijay Barse, a retired sports instructor who created Slum Soccer as a non-profit organisation. He was able to rehabilitate street youngsters by turning them into soccer players and forming a squad to keep them away from drugs and crime.

Toolsidas Junior is a forthcoming Hindi-language sports drama film from India. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Rajiv Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, and Varun Buddhadev in pivotal parts. The plot revolves around a 13-year-old boy, played by Buddhadev, who seeks vengeance for his father's snooker loss. This film will also be released in theatres on March 4, 2022.
Many sports-themed films have been produced in Bollywood, including Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), Paan Singh Tomar (2012), Dangal (2016), M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Love Story (2016), 83 (2021), and Mary Kom (2014), which are all based on true stories of athletes. AOn the other hand, Chak De India (2007), Lagaan (2001), Sultan (2016), Rashmi Rocket (2021), and Panga (2020) were based on fictional sports stories.
All of these films left an impression on the audience, and it will be interesting to see how these two sports-centric films, Jhund and Toolsidas Junior, do.
