Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Engaged Again After 20 Years

Singer Jennifer Lopez and actor Ben Affleck are engaged to marry once again. The couple had dated and they broke up in the early 2000s, however, they recently started dating again. The news of the engagement was shared by Lopez on April 8 evening in an email to her fan. This email includes a video of her wearing a massive green diamond ring.

The fan had shared the video on Twitter and wrote, "OMG! I finally got the #onthejlo email! I am so FREAKING HAPPY for you @JLo!! So happy for Ben, you and your families! True LOVE & real LOVE does exist and you both found it in each other!! Thank you for sharing this very personal video with us all! LOVE YOU @BenAffleck @JLo."

The video opened with Lopez fiddling with a green diamond ring on her finger while looking emotional. It ended with her saying, "You are perfect." Today, Lopez uploaded a video on her Twitter feed with the caption, "Major announcement!!!! OnTheJLo.com."

In an interview with People Magazine, Lopez had talked about the chaos that surrounded the couple when they were the first dating in the 2000s. She said that they were naive and had put their relationship completely out there which led to it getting a "little trampled." But she also said that now when both of them are older and wiser, they are willing to risk it this time.

"We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We're so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us," she said.

The couple were engaged in 2002 but broke up later in 2004. They were going to tie the know in 2003 but postponed it and broke it off. Later Lopez got engaged to former MLB star Alex Rodriguez in April while Affleck married Jennifer Garner. He has three kids with his former wife. While Lopez had twins with her former husband Marc Anthony.
