In a recent interview, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she had two miscarriages before giving birth to her son, Cy. Lawrence went on to share details about her experience and stated that she became pregnant in her early twenties and had a miscarriage before she could opt for an abortion. She became pregnant again while filming Don't Look Up and suffered a miscarriage for the second time.
Jennifer Lawrence not only revealed about her miscarriages but also slammed Roe Vs. Wade and the Hollywood pay gap. Lawrence gave birth to a baby boy earlier in February. She shared that she and her husband, Cooke Maroney, named their child Cy after Maroney's favourite artist, Cy Twombly.

Slams Roe Vs. Wade
The actor’s second miscarriage was at a time when she and her husband, whom she married in 2019, were ready to start a family. She recalled how she had to have a D&C treatment to remove the tissue from her uterus during the second miscarriage experience.
Lawrence further criticised the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and opened up about her clash with conservative family members in Kentucky as well, where the law recently prohibited abortion. She said, "I recall thinking about it a million times while I was pregnant. I was thinking about what was happening to my body. Every second of my life was unique. And it occurred to me repeatedly: What if I was forced to do this?"
She slammed the court’s decision saying that it would harm women coming from low-income households the most and it’s unfair, to say the least. "It's too personal to a female's existence to see white males argue about uteruses when they can't find a clitoris from the bottom of their hearts."
Slams Hollywood Pay Gap
Lawrence spoke about the pay gap existing in Hollywood and openly talked about how she receives less money than her male co-stars, which is an issue with all actors. She reportedly made much less than her male co-stars in 2021, even after she has starred in multiple genres and alongside some huge stars from the industry.
She further discussed that although all actors are routinely overpaid, film to film, it does not do any good to fill the gender pay gap. “I'm still not going to get paid as much as that guy because of my vagina, right?” she said in the interview.
The award-winning actor who was last seen in Netflix's Don’t Look Up will now be seen on the screen with her new psychological drama film Causeway. The film’s premiere will be held at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on September 10.
